Pony Express Couriers

Pony Express runs an on-board courier (OBC) service to Aïn Oussera in Djelfa Province, central Algeria, hand-carrying urgent shipments from any UK collection point through to door delivery on the next available flight. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052.

How OBC works

A dedicated courier collects your shipment in the UK, carries it as accompanied baggage through the flight, and delivers it personally — no handovers, no freight consolidation, no waiting in a warehouse queue.

Route to Aïn Oussera

Aïn Oussera sits on the N1 trans-Saharan highway roughly midway between Algiers and Djelfa. Our couriers usually fly into Algiers Houari Boumediene Airport (ALG) and drive south, a journey of around two hours along the N1.

What we carry

The town's economy is built on agriculture and livestock, so we regularly carry parts for farm machinery, irrigation equipment and veterinary supplies, alongside standard OBC cargo such as legal documents and medical consignments.

Customs and clearance

Our courier carries full export documentation and assists with clearance through Algerian customs at Algiers before the road transfer.

Frequently asked questions

  • How is Aïn Oussera reached? Via Algiers airport, then a road transfer of around two hours down the N1.
  • How fast can you depart the UK? Usually on the next available flight after collection.
  • Is my shipment ever out of sight? No — the same courier hand-carries it throughout.
  • What does it cost? Quoted individually per shipment — call for a price.
  • Do you also run UK same-day delivery? Yes, alongside our international OBC network.
