Pony Express Couriers

Pony Express runs an on-board courier (OBC) service to Aïn Temouchent, the coastal provincial capital west of Oran, hand-carrying urgent shipments from UK collection through to delivery on the next available flight. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052.

How OBC works

A dedicated courier travels with your shipment throughout the journey — collection, flight and delivery — keeping it under personal supervision rather than passing it into a freight network.

Route to Aïn Temouchent

Aïn Temouchent lies around 60km west of Oran, so our couriers fly into Oran Ahmed Ben Bella Airport (ORN) and complete the final leg by road along the coast, usually within about an hour of landing.

What we carry

The province's economy spans coastal fishing, historic vineyards and growing tourism along the Mediterranean, so alongside standard OBC cargo — legal documents, medical items and commercial spares — we often carry equipment for the fishing and hospitality sectors.

Customs and clearance

Our courier carries full export documentation and supports clearance through Algerian customs on arrival at Oran.
