Abalessa, in the Hoggar mountains of Tamanrasset Province, is best known as the site of the ancient Tin Hinan monument — and, like much of the Algerian deep south, it's a genuinely long way from any freight network. When a shipment there is truly time-critical, Pony Express hand-carries it personally, collecting from anywhere in the UK.

The journey south

Your courier flies via Algiers into Tamanrasset's Aguenar–Hadj Bey Akhamok Airport, the main gateway to the Hoggar, before completing the final desert road leg to Abalessa. Carrying the shipment throughout as accompanied baggage avoids the multiple handovers that slow standard freight to this part of the Sahara.

What we carry

We regularly move field equipment and spares for research, mining and tourism operations in the Hoggar, along with urgent documents and samples that need to travel with a courier rather than risk delay in a cargo chain.

Customs and clearance

Your courier carries all necessary export paperwork and permits, prepared in advance, so clearance on arrival in Algeria is as fast as possible.
