When a shipment to Augusta, Georgia, is too urgent for standard freight, Pony Express provides a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) who hand-carries it as accompanied baggage from UK collection through to delivery. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052 for an instant, no-obligation quote.

How the OBC service works

A single dedicated courier keeps your shipment with them throughout — UK check-in, the flight, US customs, and the final drive — avoiding the warehouse transfers and hub sorting that add time to conventional air freight.

Route into east-central Georgia

Our couriers depart the UK from Heathrow or Gatwick, usually connecting through Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson before the short final leg into Augusta Regional Airport (AGS), reaching the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area) within a single travel day.

What we carry into Augusta

Augusta's economy centres on cyber defence and IT at Fort Eisenhower and the US Army Cyber Command, alongside major medical and research activity at Augusta University Health. We regularly hand-carry secure IT equipment, medical devices and specimens, engineering prototypes and urgent legal or contract documents.

Customs and clearance

Full commercial documentation travels with the courier, and we coordinate with a US customs broker for formal clearance where needed, moving the shipment directly from AGS to your Augusta address.
