Pony Express operates a dedicated onboard courier (OBC) service into Baltimore, hand-carrying urgent freight on the next available flight from the UK, with collection available anywhere in the country. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052 any time for an instant quote.

Why choose a hand-carry courier over standard freight

A dedicated courier stays with your shipment from collection to delivery, flying as accompanied baggage rather than joining a cargo manifest. That means no consolidation, no warehousing delays, and a single point of accountability from your door to Baltimore.

Getting to Baltimore fast

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is the primary gateway, with direct and one-stop options from Heathrow and other major UK airports. We check live availability across carriers to get a courier airborne within hours of your call, landing your shipment close to downtown Baltimore, the Inner Harbor and the surrounding business districts.

Industries we support

Baltimore's economy leans heavily on life sciences and healthcare — Johns Hopkins Hospital and its research campuses are major recipients of urgent medical samples, devices and clinical trial materials. We also move time-critical components for the biotech firms along the I-95 corridor, documentation for maritime businesses at the Port of Baltimore, and prototypes and parts for manufacturers across the metro area.

Customs clearance handled for you

Full export documentation and commercial invoicing are prepared before the courier departs, so your shipment clears US Customs on arrival as accompanied baggage — avoiding the queues that slow down conventional air freight.
