Pony Express runs a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) service to Baraki Barak in Logar province, Afghanistan, collecting your shipment anywhere in the UK and hand-carrying it on the next available flight. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052 for a route and timing estimate.

How our OBC service works

A dedicated courier travels with your shipment as accompanied baggage from collection through to arrival, so it never sits in a warehouse or general freight system. This keeps chain-of-custody intact and gives you a named individual to track at every stage.

Route into Logar province

Flights are booked into Hamid Karzai International Airport (Kabul), the nearest airport with reliable international connections, with our courier continuing by road south along the Kabul-Gardez highway to Baraki Barak district. Total door-to-door time depends on flight availability and conditions on the day.

What we carry

Typical OBC shipments include AOG aircraft parts, urgent legal and financial documents, medical samples and equipment, and time-critical spare parts for construction and telecoms projects operating in the province.

Customs and clearance

Our courier prepares export documentation before departure and manages import formalities on arrival, working with local agents where needed to clear Afghan customs without delay.
