Pony Express operates a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) service into Béjaïa, the Mediterranean port city that anchors much of Algeria's hydrocarbon and agri-food trade. A courier hand-carries your shipment from collection anywhere in the UK to the next available flight, staying with it door-to-door. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052 for an instant quote.

Why choose an on-board courier to Béjaïa

Standard freight to Béjaïa can mean days of consolidation and warehousing. An OBC courier instead travels as an accompanied passenger, keeping the shipment moving continuously from UK collection to arrival — ideal when a single missed connection isn't an option.

Getting there

Béjaïa's own Soummam–Abane Ramdane Airport (BJA) takes scheduled connections via European hubs; where a direct routing isn't available our courier connects through Algiers and completes the final leg by road along the coast into Béjaïa and the Soummam valley.

Cargo we typically hand-carry

Béjaïa's economy is built on its port and heavy industry — refined sugar and edible-oil production (one of the largest such plants in Africa is based here), petrochemicals and hydrocarbon exports. We regularly carry spare parts for refinery and port-handling equipment, engineering samples, and urgent commercial or legal paperwork.

Customs at the border

Our courier travels with complete commercial invoices and supporting paperwork and liaises with clearing agents at Béjaïa to keep the shipment moving through Algerian customs without unnecessary delay.
