Pony Express Couriers

For urgent deliveries to Blida, the "city of roses" on the Mitidja plain near Algiers, Pony Express provides a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) service — a single courier hand-carries your shipment from anywhere in the UK. Pricing is by quote. Call 0800 288 4052 or email sales@ponyexpress.co.uk.

On-board courier explained

Your shipment travels as accompanying baggage with a courier who stays with it personally from UK collection through to hand delivery in Blida, avoiding the handovers of standard freight.

Route to Blida

Blida sits around 50km south-west of Algiers, so we route through Houari Boumediene Airport in Algiers and complete the final leg by road across the Mitidja plain, one of Algeria's most fertile agricultural regions.

What we carry

  • Agricultural equipment and produce-export documentation
  • Legal and financial documents
  • Medical samples and equipment
  • Prototypes and engineering parts
  • High-value or irreplaceable items

Customs and clearance

Your courier clears customs in person at Algiers before the short road transfer to Blida, with all paperwork prepared in advance.

Why Pony Express

30+ years of urgent courier delivery, 24/7/365 booking, goods-in-transit insurance, and a courier who doesn't leave your shipment until it's signed for.
