Pony Express Couriers

Pony Express arranges on-board courier (OBC) hand-carry delivery to Chichkah in Afghanistan, collecting your shipment anywhere in the UK and flying it out with a dedicated courier who accompanies it the entire way. Call 0800 288 4052 for a route-specific quote.

Confirming the route

As with many smaller Afghan locations, we verify the nearest workable airfield and the realistic overland leg with you before booking, then route our courier via Kabul or the closest regional airport with reliable schedules.

How OBC hand-carry works

Your shipment is checked in as our courier's accompanied baggage rather than sent through general freight, so it avoids consolidation and warehousing and stays with one accountable person from UK collection onward.

What we typically carry

Urgent documents, machinery spares, and medical or project supplies make up the majority of OBC shipments into rural Afghanistan.

Customs and clearance

We complete UK export paperwork in advance and work with local agents to clear customs on arrival with minimal delay.

  • Will the route be confirmed before booking? Yes, always.
