Pony Express provides an on-board courier (OBC) service to Dar el Beïda, the eastern Algiers district that is home to Houari Boumediene International Airport, hand-carrying urgent shipments from any UK collection point right through to the door. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052.

How OBC works

A single dedicated courier carries your shipment as accompanied baggage from UK collection through the flight to delivery — no freight handover, no warehousing, and full visibility of the shipment at every stage.

Route to Dar el Beïda

This is one of our most direct OBC routes: Dar el Beïda is the airport district itself, so once our courier lands at Houari Boumediene (ALG) the delivery leg is minutes rather than hours, making it ideal for genuinely time-critical shipments.

What we carry

Given the concentration of logistics, aviation and industrial activity around the airport, we regularly hand-carry AOG aircraft parts and ground-support equipment, alongside legal and financial documents, medical consignments and urgent commercial spares.

Customs and clearance

Our courier carries the commercial invoice, certificate of origin and any required export paperwork, and manages clearance through Algerian customs on arrival.
