Pony Express hand-carries urgent shipments to Djelfa, on Algeria's high steppe plateau south of Algiers, through our dedicated on-board courier (OBC) service — collection anywhere in the UK, one courier the whole way. Pricing is by quote. Call 0800 288 4052 or email sales@ponyexpress.co.uk.

How it works

Rather than releasing your shipment into a freight network, we book a courier onto the next available flight who carries it personally as accompanying baggage, right through to hand delivery in Djelfa.

Route to Djelfa

Djelfa sits on the Hauts Plateaux, around 300km south of Algiers on the edge of the Saharan Atlas. We route via Houari Boumediene Airport in Algiers, with the final leg completed by road south.

What we carry

• Livestock and agricultural industry documentation — Djelfa is a major sheep-farming centre
• Legal and financial documents
• Medical samples and equipment
• Prototypes and engineering parts
• High-value or irreplaceable items

Customs and clearance

Your courier clears customs in person at Algiers before the road transfer south, with all paperwork prepared in advance.

Why Pony Express

Over 30 years of urgent courier delivery, a 24/7/365 desk, goods-in-transit insurance, and a courier who stays with your shipment the entire journey.
