When a shipment to El Ançor, on the Mediterranean coast of Oran Province, simply cannot wait for standard freight, Pony Express puts a dedicated courier on the next available flight to hand-carry it door to door. We collect from anywhere in the UK, any hour of the day, and our courier stays with the consignment the whole way — through check-in, customs and final delivery.

How our on-board courier (OBC) service works

Once you call, we assign a courier who travels to you for collection, then routes via the nearest international gateway — typically London Heathrow or Gatwick — onward to Oran Ahmed Ben Bella Airport, the closest airport serving the El Ançor area. From touchdown, your goods are hand-carried the short final distance by road rather than handed to a freight agent, so nothing sits in a warehouse overnight.

What we carry to El Ançor

We regularly move AOG (aircraft-on-ground) spares, urgent documents and contracts, medical samples and equipment, and engineering prototypes destined for the industrial and petrochemical operations around greater Oran, including the Arzew complex. If it is time-critical and too valuable or fragile to risk on a standard air waybill, an OBC courier is the safer option.

Customs and clearance

Our courier prepares the correct export paperwork before departure and can carry commercial invoices, certificates of origin and any permits your shipment requires, helping it move through Algerian customs at Oran with the minimum of delay.
