El Tarf, tucked into Algeria's green, lake-studded far north-east near the Tunisian border, is within reach of Pony Express's on-board courier (OBC) network. We collect your shipment anywhere in the UK and a dedicated courier hand-carries it the entire way, clearing customs in person on arrival.

How on-board courier delivery works

Rather than consigning your goods to unaccompanied freight, we assign a courier who checks the shipment in as their own baggage and travels alongside it on commercial flights, remaining responsible for it until it reaches the named recipient.

Route and nearest airport

El Tarf is closest to Rabah Bitat Airport in Annaba, roughly 40km away, which is well connected via European hubs. Depending on flight schedules we may also route via Algiers before a short domestic connection or road transfer to El Tarf itself.

What we carry

We regularly move parts for the region's cork and forestry industries, agricultural equipment components, documents for cross-border business with Tunisia, and time-sensitive medical or laboratory items.

Customs and clearance

Your courier carries the full commercial invoice and supporting paperwork and deals with Algerian customs face to face, so questions get answered on the spot rather than causing delay in a bonded warehouse.
