Pony Express Couriers

Pony Express runs a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) service into Fresno, California for shipments too urgent to risk on standard freight — one courier hand-carries your goods from UK collection all the way to final delivery. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052 or email sales@ponyexpress.co.uk for an instant quote.

How on-board courier works

A single courier accompanies your shipment on a passenger flight, from UK collection to check-in, through the flight and US customs clearance, and on by road to the final Fresno address, so nothing is ever handed off to an unattended freight chain.

Route and airport for Fresno

Shipments are routed via Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), generally connecting through a major West Coast gateway such as Los Angeles or San Francisco, with the courier driving the final leg once cleared through customs.

What we hand-carry to Fresno

Fresno sits at the heart of California's Central Valley, one of the most productive agricultural regions in the world, so we regularly hand-carry time-critical parts for agricultural and food-processing machinery, laboratory samples for crop and soil testing, and specialist equipment for the region's food-tech and packaging businesses, alongside signed legal and financial documents.

Customs and clearance

Your courier carries full commercial documentation and clears US customs personally on arrival, avoiding the delay of unaccompanied freight sitting in a bonded facility waiting on a broker.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can a shipment reach Fresno?

Most OBC deliveries land and reach the final address within a single working day of collection.

Do you cover the wider Central Valley?

Yes, the courier can drive on from Fresno to surrounding towns as needed.

Is this suitable for perishable agricultural samples?

For time-sensitive samples, hand-carry is often the fastest and most controlled option — tell us the details and we'll advise.

What's the cost?

Every job is quoted individually on route and urgency — call 0800 288 4052.
