When a shipment to Greenville, South Carolina can't wait for standard freight, Pony Express provides a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) who hand-carries your package as accompanied baggage on the next available flight, with collection arranged anywhere in the UK. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052 for an instant, no-obligation quote.

How our on-board courier service works

Once you call, we assign a dedicated courier who collects your shipment, clears security with it as hand luggage, and stays with it for the entire journey — no warehousing, no hub sorting, no handling by third parties. The courier flies out from Heathrow, Gatwick or Manchester depending on routing and connects onward to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP), the gateway to the Upstate South Carolina region.

Route and typical transit to Greenville

Most itineraries route via a major US east coast hub such as Atlanta or Charlotte before the short final leg into GSP, putting a courier on the ground in the Upstate within a single flight day of collection. From GSP it is a short drive into central Greenville and out to the manufacturing corridor around Spartanburg and Greer.

What we carry to Greenville's industries

Greenville-Spartanburg is one of the densest advanced manufacturing corridors in the US, anchored by BMW's Plant Spartanburg and a deep automotive and aerospace supply chain, alongside Michelin's North American headquarters nearby. We regularly hand-carry AOG aircraft and tooling parts, urgent automotive line-stop components, prototypes, and time-critical legal, financial and medical shipments.

Customs and clearance

Our courier carries full commercial documentation and, where needed, coordinates with a customs broker so the shipment clears US Customs and Border Protection without delay on arrival, then travels the final miles by ground directly to the recipient.
