Pony Express runs a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) service into Indio, California for shipments that have to move now, not on the next scheduled freight slot. One courier hand-carries your consignment as accompanied baggage from collection anywhere in the UK through to delivery in Indio. Call 0800 288 4052 for a quote — there's no set price list, every job is quoted individually.

Reaching the Coachella Valley

Indio is the largest city in California's Coachella Valley, a hub for renewable-energy (notably the wind farms along the San Gorgonio Pass), date-palm agriculture and large-scale event logistics. Our courier typically routes via Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or connects on to Palm Springs International Airport (PSP), the closest gateway, before final delivery into Indio.

How the hand-carry service works

Your shipment stays with a single courier for the entire journey as accompanied baggage — it is never left unattended, never pooled with other freight, and moves at the speed of the fastest available flight.

What we carry to Indio

• AOG and turbine parts for energy infrastructure
• Time-sensitive legal and contractual documents
• Medical devices, samples and pharmaceuticals
• Event, broadcast and technical equipment

Customs and clearance

The courier personally carries all invoices and export paperwork and manages US customs clearance directly, avoiding the hold-ups that come with unaccompanied cargo.
