Pony Express Couriers

For shipments into Islip, New York that are too urgent for scheduled freight, Pony Express operates a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) service. One courier hand-carries your consignment as accompanied baggage, collected anywhere in the UK, through to delivery on Long Island. Call 0800 288 4052 — pricing is always by quote.

Route into Long Island

Islip is in Suffolk County on Long Island's south shore, served by Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) and within reach of the region's pharmaceutical, defence and precision-manufacturing sector. Our courier typically connects through a New York gateway airport before a short final leg into ISP or by road from JFK.

How on-board courier works

A single courier accompanies your shipment for the entire journey as personal baggage — never left unattended, never pooled with other freight.

What we hand-carry

  • AOG and defence-manufacturing parts
  • Legal and financial documents against a deadline
  • Medical samples, devices and pharmaceuticals
  • Engineering prototypes and specialist components

Customs and clearance

The courier personally carries all commercial documentation and clears US customs directly, avoiding the delays of unaccompanied freight.
