Pony Express offers a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) service to Kunduz for shipments that call for a courier's personal custody rather than standard air freight. Collection is available anywhere in the UK, with hand-carry delivery to this northern Afghan trading city. Every job is quoted individually — call 0800 288 4052 or email sales@ponyexpress.co.uk.

About the route

Kunduz, close to the Tajikistan border and long known as a centre for cotton, rice and melon trading, is served by a regional airport with limited international connections. Our couriers typically route through Kabul or a Gulf hub, keeping continuous hand-to-hand custody throughout the journey.

How the hand-carry process works

The courier completes UK export formalities, travels with your shipment as accompanied baggage, and delivers it personally to your named recipient in Kunduz, with signed proof of delivery on request.

What we carry

Common cargo includes agricultural and processing equipment parts, legal and project documents, medical supplies, and prototype or technical equipment for clients working in the region.

Customs and clearance

We prepare export paperwork before departure and liaise with your local contact on import requirements, so the shipment moves straight through to you.
