Lashkar Gah is covered by Pony Express's on-board courier (OBC) service for consignments that need a courier travelling with them in person rather than being entrusted to routine freight. Collection is arranged anywhere in the UK, with hand-carry delivery through to Helmand province. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052 or email sales@ponyexpress.co.uk.

Reaching Helmand's provincial capital

Lashkar Gah, built where the Helmand and Arghandab rivers meet, is served by Bost Airport with limited scheduled traffic, so OBC routings usually bring the courier in via Kabul or Kandahar before a final domestic connection or ground transfer coordinated with your contact.

How the service works

Your courier clears UK export paperwork, keeps the shipment as accompanied baggage for the entire journey, and hands it over in person at the destination, with proof of delivery available on request.

Typical shipments

We regularly carry irrigation and agricultural equipment parts, project and legal documentation, medical items, and other time-critical cargo for organisations working in the Helmand valley.

Customs and clearance

Export documentation is prepared ahead of departure, and we coordinate with your local contact on import formalities so the shipment doesn't sit waiting once it lands.
