Pony Express offers an on-board courier (OBC) service to Makouda, a coastal-hill commune of Tizi Ouzou province near Tigzirt on the Kabylie shoreline. For shipments too urgent or sensitive for standard freight, our courier collects anywhere in the UK and personally hand-carries the item the entire way to Makouda.

How OBC hand-carry works

A single named courier accompanies your shipment throughout the journey, clearing check-in, security and customs personally, and handing it directly to the consignee — cutting out the hub transfers of a standard freight network.

Route and transit to Makouda

Flights route via Algiers' Houari Boumediene International Airport, with the courier then driving east along the coast toward Tigzirt and up into the hills to reach Makouda.

What we carry

AOG aircraft parts, urgent legal and financial documents, medical samples and equipment, prototypes, and other high-value or irreplaceable cargo needing one accountable courier from door to door.

Customs and clearance

Our courier manages UK export paperwork and Algerian import formalities in person, staying with the shipment so it is never left waiting in a bonded warehouse.
