Mazar-e Sharif is served by Pony Express's on-board courier (OBC) network for shipments where speed and personal custody matter more than cost. A dedicated courier collects anywhere in the UK and hand-carries the consignment through to Mazar-i-Sharif International Airport (MZR). Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052 or email sales@ponyexpress.co.uk.

About the route

Mazar-e Sharif sits in northern Afghanistan close to the Uzbek border crossing at Hairatan, and is a long-established trading centre for cotton and karakul wool. There's no non-stop UK flight, so couriers typically connect through a Gulf or Central Asian hub, maintaining continuous custody of the shipment through every transfer.

How the hand-carry works

Your courier clears export documentation in the UK, travels with the goods as cabin baggage or accompanied cargo, and delivers directly to your named recipient in Mazar-e Sharif, with signed proof of delivery available.

What typically moves this way

We regularly carry AOG parts for aircraft and machinery operators, legal and banking documents, medical consignments, and prototype equipment for engineering and manufacturing clients working in the region.

Customs and clearance

Export paperwork is arranged ahead of departure, and we liaise directly with your local contact on import formalities so the shipment clears without delay.
