Pony Express Couriers

Pony Express hand-carries urgent shipments into Modesto, California through a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) service, with collection anywhere in the UK and pricing always by quote. Call 0800 288 4052 for an instant, no-obligation quote.

What sets OBC apart

A single courier accompanies your shipment as hand luggage from UK check-in, through the flight and US customs, to final delivery — with no warehouse handling or freight-hub sorting in between.

Route into the Central Valley

Departing the UK from Heathrow, our courier typically connects through San Francisco or Sacramento International Airport (SMF) before the final drive to Modesto, or via the smaller Modesto City-County Airport (MOD) when routing allows, reaching Stanislaus County within a single travel day.

Industries we support in Modesto

Modesto sits at the heart of California's food and beverage manufacturing sector, home to E&J Gallo Winery's headquarters and extensive almond and dairy processing operations, and we regularly hand-carry food-safety samples, packaging and processing line parts, and time-critical contracts and lab results.

Customs and clearance

Full commercial documentation travels with the courier, and we coordinate with a US customs broker for formal clearance where required, moving the shipment directly from SMF or MOD to your Modesto address.
