Patos sits at the centre of the Patos-Marinza oilfield, one of the largest onshore oil deposits in continental Europe, making it a natural fit for Pony Express's on-board courier (OBC) service. A dedicated courier hand-carries urgent shipments from anywhere in the UK straight to site, avoiding the delays of general freight when a rig or wellhead is waiting on a part.

Route to Patos

The courier flies via a European connecting hub into Tirana International Airport (Rinas), then drives south on the SH4 past Lushnjë and on to Fier, a journey of around two hours, before the short final stretch into Patos.

What we carry

• AOG and oilfield-critical parts, valves and instrumentation
• Urgent engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Legal, contractual and financial paperwork for energy-sector operators
• Medical supplies for site clinics

Customs

Albania is outside the EU, so export documentation and commercial invoices — including any classification needed for oilfield equipment — are prepared before departure, and the courier clears customs at Rinas in person.
