Pony Express Couriers

Pony Express provides a dedicated onboard courier (OBC) service to Pittsburgh, hand-carrying urgent shipments on the next available flight from the UK, with collection anywhere across the country. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052 for an instant quote.

One dedicated courier, no handovers

Your shipment travels with a single courier from collection through to delivery — avoiding the transfers and consolidation points that slow down conventional air freight.

Flying into Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is the main gateway, reachable via one-stop connections from UK departure airports. We check live seat and cargo capacity as soon as you call to get a courier airborne quickly.

What we carry to Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh has reinvented itself as a centre for robotics and artificial intelligence research around Carnegie Mellon University, alongside a major healthcare sector led by UPMC and a strong base of advanced manufacturing that grew out of the city's steel industry. We hand-carry research equipment, medical samples, and urgent engineering components for all three.

Customs handled in advance

We prepare full export documentation before the courier departs so your shipment clears US Customs as accompanied baggage on arrival, rather than sitting in a general freight queue.

Frequently asked questions

  • What can travel this way? Robotics/AI research equipment, medical samples, manufacturing parts and most accompanied-baggage-sized goods.
