Pony Express Couriers

Pogradec sits on the Albanian shore of Lake Ohrid, one of Europe's oldest and deepest lakes, close to the North Macedonian border. Pony Express's on-board courier (OBC) service puts a dedicated courier on the shipment from UK collection through to hand-delivery here, with no warehouse hand-offs along the way.

Route to Pogradec

Flights connect via a European hub into Tirana International Airport (Rinas); the courier then drives east on the SH3 through Elbasan and Librazhd, a journey of roughly two and a half hours, into Pogradec on the lakeshore.

What we carry

  • AOG and equipment parts for the lakeside tourism and hydro-power sectors
  • Urgent legal, land and financial documents
  • Medical devices and pharmaceuticals
  • Trade samples and prototypes

Customs

Albania is outside the EU, so export paperwork is prepared before departure and the courier clears customs at Rinas in person, on your behalf.
