When a shipment to Queens, New York simply cannot wait for standard freight, Pony Express provides a dedicated onboard courier (OBC) service — a courier who hand-carries your consignment as accompanied baggage on the next available flight out of the UK, collected from anywhere in the country. Pricing is by quote. Call 0800 288 4052 for an instant no-obligation quote.

How our onboard courier service works

Once you call, we assign a dedicated courier who collects your shipment, books onto the next suitable flight from a UK airport, and flies with the goods in the cabin or hold the entire way — never leaving them unattended. The courier lands into New York, clears customs, and hand-delivers directly to your recipient in Queens, whether that's a business near JFK, Long Island City, Flushing or anywhere across the borough.

Route and flight options to Queens

Queens is served directly by John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), one of the busiest long-haul gateways in the United States, with LaGuardia (LGA) a short distance away for domestic connections. We monitor same-day and next-available departures from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and other UK airports to find the fastest route in, minimising the time your shipment spends in transit.

What we carry to Queens

We regularly hand-carry AOG (aircraft-on-ground) parts for the aviation businesses clustered around JFK, urgent legal and financial documents for Manhattan-facing firms based in Long Island City, film and production equipment for the studios at Silvercup and Kaufman Astoria, medical samples and devices, and time-critical prototypes for manufacturers across the borough.

Customs and clearance

Our couriers travel with full commercial documentation prepared in advance, so your shipment clears US Customs and Border Protection as accompanied baggage rather than joining a general freight queue — often the difference between same-day and next-week delivery.
