Pony Express provides an on-board courier (OBC) service deep into the Algerian Sahara, including Reggane, hand-carrying urgent shipments on the next available flight from the UK. For a remote desert destination like this, a dedicated courier who stays with the consignment for the entire journey is often the only realistic way to guarantee an arrival time. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052 or email sales@ponyexpress.co.uk.

An oasis gateway to the deep Sahara

Reggane is a historic Saharan oasis town in Adrar Province, long a staging post on the Tanezrouft trans-Saharan route and known for its palm groves. It's a long way from the coast, which makes standard freight slow and unpredictable — exactly the gap an on-board courier is designed to close.

Getting a courier to Reggane

Shipments typically fly into Algiers first, then connect on to Adrar's regional airport for the final leg south, with our courier remaining in personal custody of the consignment for every stage of the journey and arranging the onward road transfer into Reggane itself.

What we carry

Past jobs have included AOG parts for grounded aircraft, drilling and energy-sector components, urgent legal and contractual documents, and medical supplies where local stock has run short.

Customs and clearance

Full commercial documentation travels with the courier, and we coordinate with your local contact to keep clearance moving given the distances involved.
