For shipments into the heart of Silicon Valley, Pony Express offers a dedicated onboard courier (OBC) service to San Jose — a courier hand-carries your goods on the next available flight from the UK, with nationwide collection. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052.

How hand-carry delivery works

One dedicated courier collects your shipment, books the fastest suitable flight, and stays with it through check-in, the flight, and customs clearance, before delivering it directly to your recipient in San Jose.

Getting into San Jose

Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) sits close to the city centre, with San Francisco International (SFO) also serving the wider Bay Area. We check live availability across both to get a courier airborne quickly from UK departure points.

What we carry to Silicon Valley

San Jose sits at the centre of the global technology and semiconductor industry, so we regularly hand-carry prototype hardware, engineering samples, urgent server and networking components, and sensitive commercial documents between UK offices and Bay Area headquarters and fabs.

Customs clearance

Export documentation is prepared before departure so shipments clear US Customs as accompanied baggage on landing, without joining a general cargo queue — important for prototype and IP-sensitive hardware.
