Pony Express provides an urgent on-board courier (OBC) service to Santa Ana, California, hand-carrying your shipment on the next available flight out of the UK. A dedicated courier collects from anywhere in the UK, clears security with your consignment as accompanied baggage, and flies with it to Los Angeles (LAX) or John Wayne Airport (SNA), completing final delivery direct to the recipient's door in Santa Ana or the wider Orange County area. Pricing is by quote. Call 0800 288 4052 to book, 24/7/365.

How our on-board courier service works

Rather than trusting a time-critical shipment to standard air freight, we assign a courier who travels with it the entire way. Your goods never leave their sight from UK collection to Santa Ana delivery, which means no consolidation, no warehousing delay, and a fixed, trackable arrival window.

Route and typical transit to Santa Ana

Most OBC movements route via a direct or one-stop service into LAX, roughly a 30–40 minute drive from central Santa Ana on the I-405 and I-5, or via connecting flights into John Wayne Airport a short hop from the city centre. Door-to-door transit is typically quoted at the time of booking once we know your nearest UK airport and Santa Ana delivery address.

What we carry

Aircraft-on-ground (AOG) parts for the aerospace and MRO sector, legal and financial documents needing same-day signature, medical samples and equipment, engineering prototypes, and any consignment where a missed deadline is not an option.

Customs and clearance

Our courier handles export paperwork from the UK and supports US customs clearance on arrival, including commercial invoices and any permits your goods require, so the shipment keeps moving without sitting in a bonded warehouse.

Frequently asked questions

How fast can a courier depart? Often within a few hours of booking, subject to flight availability. Do you collect UK-wide? Yes, collection is arranged anywhere in the UK. Is this cheaper than a scheduled freight forwarder? It depends on urgency — OBC is priced for speed and certainty, not volume, so we quote each job individually. What does it cost? Every OBC job is quoted individually — call 0800 288 4052 for a same-day price.
