Pony Express Couriers

Pony Express provides an on-board courier (OBC) service from anywhere in the UK to Santa Clarita, California, north of Los Angeles along the I-5 corridor. A dedicated courier hand-carries your shipment personally, from UK collection to delivery in Santa Clarita, staying with it throughout rather than routing it through freight handlers. Pricing is quoted per job — call 0800 288 4052 or email sales@ponyexpress.co.uk for a no-obligation quote.

How on-board courier hand-carry works

We book your courier onto the next available flight after collection; they remain with the shipment through check-in, customs and the connecting leg, and hand it over in person at the destination.

Route and transit to Santa Clarita

Flights typically leave Heathrow direct to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), or via Bob Hope/Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR), before a final road transfer north on the I-5 into Santa Clarita — usually the fastest routing for this part of northern LA County.

What we carry to Santa Clarita

Santa Clarita is a major centre for film, TV and entertainment production, and also home to aerospace and defence suppliers, so we regularly hand-carry production equipment, camera and rig components, and urgent aerospace parts. We also move legal and financial documents on tight deadlines and time-critical samples for the area's biotech and healthcare businesses.

Customs and clearance

Because the courier carries the shipment's commercial paperwork and clears customs alongside it, OBC avoids the delays that can affect unaccompanied cargo. We confirm what documentation your specific goods will need before travel.

Frequently asked questions
