Pony Express Couriers

Pony Express operates an on-board courier (OBC) hand-carry service to Savannah, Georgia, home to one of the busiest container ports on the US East Coast. A dedicated courier collects your shipment anywhere in the UK and flies with it as accompanied baggage into Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), often via a connection through Atlanta. Pricing is by quote. Call 0800 288 4052, 24/7/365.

How on-board courier works

One dedicated courier carries your shipment the entire way, from UK collection to Savannah delivery, removing the handovers and unpredictable transit times of standard scheduled freight.

Route to Savannah

Most UK-to-Savannah OBC jobs connect through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, with a short onward flight or road transfer of around four hours east on I-16 when a direct connection isn't available into SAV.

What we carry

Time-critical documents and parts for the Port of Savannah's shipping and logistics operators, AOG aerospace components, legal and financial paperwork, and medical shipments needing a guaranteed arrival window.

Customs and clearance

Our courier arranges UK export documentation and manages US customs clearance on landing, including commercial invoices and any required permits, so nothing is held up at the border.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can a courier leave? Often within a few hours of confirmed booking. Do you collect anywhere in the UK? Yes. Can you support port and logistics shipments? Yes, this is one of our most common Savannah job types. What's the cost? Every job is quoted individually — call 0800 288 4052.
