Skikda is one of Algeria's most important energy export hubs, and Pony Express supports it with a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) service for shipments that cannot wait for standard freight. A courier hand-carries your consignment from collection anywhere in the UK through to arrival on the Algerian coast. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052.

Why an accompanied courier

An OBC courier checks in the shipment as accompanied baggage and stays with it for the entire journey, avoiding the warehousing and consolidation stages that add days to conventional freight — critical when a refinery or plant is waiting on a part.

Route to Skikda

Skikda has no scheduled international passenger airport, so our couriers route via Constantine's Mohamed Boudiaf International Airport, roughly 75km inland, before completing the final leg to the coast by road.

What we carry

Skikda's economy is dominated by hydrocarbons — it hosts one of Algeria's largest oil refineries and an LNG export terminal — so demand centres on urgent spare parts for refinery and petrochemical equipment, technical documentation, and safety-critical components, alongside legal and commercial paperwork.

Customs clearance

The courier carries full commercial documentation and works with a clearing agent at the point of entry to move the shipment through Algerian customs as quickly as possible.
