Pony Express Couriers

Pony Express provides an on-board courier (OBC) service to Souk Ahras, the eastern Algerian city close to the Tunisian border and birthplace of St Augustine of Hippo. A dedicated courier hand-carries your shipment from UK collection through to arrival, never letting it out of their possession. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052.

A genuinely accompanied service

The courier checks the shipment in as personal baggage and travels with it through every stage of the journey, which is what makes OBC the fastest option when standard freight simply won't arrive in time.

Reaching Souk Ahras

With no international airport of its own, Souk Ahras is typically reached via Annaba's Rabah Bitat Airport, around 100km to the north, with the final leg completed by road.

What we carry

The surrounding region is known for cork oak forestry and agriculture, and for cross-border trade with Tunisia. We regularly hand-carry technical and legal documents, trade samples, and spare parts for agricultural and processing equipment.

Customs at the border

Our courier carries complete commercial paperwork and coordinates with a clearing agent to keep the shipment moving through Algerian import formalities.
