Pony Express runs a dedicated on-board courier (OBC) service to Tizi Ouzou, the Kabylie region's largest city beneath the Djurdjura mountains. A courier hand-carries your shipment from collection anywhere in the UK through to arrival, staying with it the whole way. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052.

How the courier travels with your shipment

Rather than joining consolidated freight, the consignment is checked in as accompanied baggage and carried personally by the courier through check-in, security, the flight and arrival — the fastest way to move something that simply can't wait.

Route to Tizi Ouzou

Our couriers typically connect via Algiers' Houari Boumediene Airport, around 100km to the west, completing the final leg by road into the Kabylie hills.

What we hand-carry

Tizi Ouzou is known for traditional silver jewellery and pottery, olive oil production, and a strong university and services sector. We regularly carry trade samples, academic materials, legal documents and light equipment parts.

Customs at the border

Our courier travels with complete commercial documentation and works with a clearing agent to keep the shipment moving through Algerian customs.
