Yakouren is best known for the cedar forest that covers the hills around it, in the heart of Tizi Ouzou Province. When a shipment to Yakouren is too urgent for standard freight, Pony Express sends a dedicated on-board courier who collects anywhere in the UK and hand-carries your goods personally on the next suitable flight, through to delivery. Pricing is by quote — call 0800 288 4052.

Why an on-board courier

Your shipment stays in the custody of one courier throughout the journey — UK collection, check-in, security, immigration and hand-over — rather than moving through a general freight network.

Route to Yakouren

Flights land at Algiers Houari Boumediene International Airport, with the courier continuing by road up through Tizi Ouzou and into the forested hills to reach Yakouren and its surrounding villages.

What we're regularly asked to carry

Typical shipments include urgent legal and family documents, medical consignments, spare parts for agricultural and forestry equipment, and personal items for UK families with connections to the area.

Customs prepared in advance

Commercial invoices and supporting documentation are completed before departure and travel with the courier, so clearance is handled as part of the same continuous journey.
