Need something hand-carried urgently to Zarghun Shahr in Paktika province? Pony Express runs an on-board courier (OBC) service collecting from anywhere in the UK, with a dedicated courier flying out on the next available flight and staying with your shipment until it's delivered. Call 0800 288 4052 — pricing is by quote.

How the service works

Rather than handing your shipment to a freight network, one of our couriers checks it in as accompanied baggage and travels the entire route personally, giving you a single point of contact and real-time updates.

Getting into Paktika province

Given the limited scheduled air services in south-eastern Afghanistan, our courier typically routes via Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul before continuing overland to Zarghun Shahr, close to the Pakistan border. We build in realistic contingency time for this leg when confirming your quote.

What we typically move

OBC bookings to this region are usually AOG parts, urgent legal or contractual documents, and critical spares for infrastructure and telecoms projects.

Customs and border formalities

Our courier handles export documentation from the UK and coordinates import clearance in Afghanistan, working with trusted local agents to keep border delays to a minimum.
